Description
With the Unassociated Members list,
I think it would be beneficial to have a way to manually assign those to players. This way, if it's an alt it will be easy to track.
This should then, send reminder emails to the player to add his api for that account.
Obviously, this only helps with alts.

Though I see that this could be handy, it goes against the whole purpose of associating characters to people through API keys. Plus it would require some heavy modifications in the code.
I'm sorry, but my vote is -1 :>

I was thinking more of a temp thing, this way reminders could be sent to the main player account to add the API for the account.
This could also lead into, the ability to see who's alts are left in corp, after their main has left so they can be removed from corp. (Security issue having alts in left in corp)

I know, but you cannot tag who it belongs to for tracking purposes. So just viewing the umassociated member list as it is, means virtually nothing except for a list of toons with no 'owners'.
Basically as it stands right now, there is no member accountability build into the apps for corps.
Example 1:
So player A joins, and also brings in 3 alts.
Player A, sets up his ECM account, and adds one of his alts.
Alts 2 and 3 are shown in unassociated list, but no player owner listed for them.
Player A leaves, along with the alt he had listed on the account.
Alts 2 and 3 stay in corp, used to cause trouble etc... no way to go back and track what player they belonged to.
Example 2:
Same as above. However Alt 2 was caught stealing from a hanger. Alt 2 was kicked, but it's player owner and other associated toons were not known, and left in corp.

well the point is that your ceo/directors need to chase him for his api information. when you have this information hten you have everything you need :). sorry it cant be automatic.

Well, I didn't ask for anything automatic.
Title of this app, is EvE Corp Management...
Fact that you can't actually manage the membership, seems a bit silly.
We already use an app that does the following:
1. Allows us to assign alts to mains
2. Highlights new members who recently joined the corp
3. Tracks kills for each member per month, including alts
- Set minimum # per month
- Includes all alts in total, individually broken down
4. Flags members who have not logged in xx days
5. Flags alts who's mains have left the corp
6. Flags alts who have not logged in xx days
7. Allows to flag members who are under probation
8. Allows to flag members who need to be investigated
^^ corp membership management
It's a pretty simple app, and you already have some of the items on your drawing board
Having actual member management built into ECM would be good.

with respect to alts ecm is designed on the principle that you need to prove an alt is yours.
the point is that when you have their api key then you can also pull data on them. this is an anti spy measure and also a utility measure. you can ask diab about it but i dont think there are any plans to change it. this is being designed primarily as a tool for nullsec alliances where this kinda info is demanded by default.

I understand that...
And I also run one of the largest 0.0 corps in the game. As I posted above, is what the information you actually need and exactly how we use it to maintain the corp.
This really isn't an issue for corps with say less than 150ish people. Once you get above that, it's virtually impossible to manage as currently implemented.
I don't have an issue using our current app to do this, but I know many other corps would also benefit from having the ability to actually track their members and flag them as appropriate.
It doesn't change anything as it currently is, but simply adds the ability for temp holding until proper API's are added, and also the additional flags / etc for proper member management.
I'd be happy to discuss further in more detail if you wanted, as you seem to not understand how we actually use it.

Hello Labrena,
I think I begin to understand your process. You (directors) want to be able to flag characters for convenience reasons without them being actually linked to players through the API. I guess I can think of a way to do that. think I begin to understand your process. You want to be able to flag characters for convenience reasons without them being actually linked through the API. I like all these ideas:

I think we can implement these too.
